Tilly and Poppet at PC Champs

Hi my name is Tilly Hutchings and I am a young Event Rider from Lacock in Wiltshire.

**January 2023**

2022 has been a fantastic year for myself and Hugo. We have competed with British Eventing all season with several top ten finishes which was a great start to our partnership. We enjoyed competing at Hickstead for our school team where Hugo and I had a great clear round on a testing course. I have also had the opportunity to ride many young ponies taking them on their first experience of eventing. For my 2023 season, myself and Hugo are aiming to complete at BE90 and move up to BE 100 and have fun along the way!

**January 2022**

2021 has been a great year for myself and the ponies.  I was very fortunate to win the Horse Events and Treehouse Sporting Colours Search for a Star 2021, and I have really enjoyed representing the two brands this year. Poppet has been a true star this season, going double clear around every event and a special highlight was coming 2nd at the Horse Events SEG Championships.  I also have represented my school at NSEA events where we qualified for Hickstead and the Keysoe championships.

I also qualified for the Grassroutes Regional Pony Club championships in Somerset where I won the Dressage overall , and then we travelled down to Cornwall where I won the eventing in my section.

At the end of the summer I got offered a lovely 14.2 Connemara called Hugo to hopefully event in the 2022 season.  I have really enjoyed getting to know him and look forward to competing him this year alongside Poppet.

**January 2021**

I have an amazing 13.2 Irish Sports Pony called Poppet, who is every bit of her name! I have achieved many great things with Poppet in the 2 years I have had her, qualifying for the SEG and unaffiliated championships with Horse Events and not being out of the top 3 for the 2020 season.

I am also part of my school NSEA team where we have qualified for the NSEA Eventers Challenge at Hickstead for the last 2 years and in 2020 we came 2nd place.  We also qualified for the NSEA National Dressage Championships in the Novice and came individual 4th.
