Fanny – Is the name of Fager´s single-jointed perfection. Anatomic and comfortable, a lightweight single jointed bit with Fager’s FSS™ system. Fager’s Smart System locks the joints in any direction whereby it could hurt the palate. Feeling more like a classic straight bit, but with some flex to it. This clever system gives the bit more stability and helps ensure good freedom and calmness in the mouth of the horse, in this balanced and horse-friendly bit. Highly appreciated by sensitive horses. Fanny is curved to allow tongue relief. A horse with a sensitive tongue will begin to accept the contact and be more willing to work. Loose rings or Eggbutts? Eggbutts give the mouthpiece stability, and the rein aids will be more direct and precise. If your horse is a little hesitant into the contact, an eggbutt is to prefer. Loose rings will allow for more movement of the bit in the horse’s mouth. Which also will discourage leaning. Loose rings will allow the rider for quick aids with finesse. Eggbutts or loose rings together with bit guards is to recommend if the horse has ”fleshy” lips/mouth corners. Fanny’s mouthpiece is solid titanium. Titanium is very light and has a lower thermal capacity, which ensures better comfort for the horse, especially in cold weather. The lower weight helps the horse focus on the signals from the rider, instead of on the bit itself. Titanium has several advantages:
