2015 Season

Well what a season, we may not be able to hold Pony Racing at many tracks, but this year has been an exceptionally good season.

Pony Racing was held at all three meetings at Tabley, and between the three we had 10 races, with 68 ponies entered. 60 of them running.  (There was only 10 entries from out of our area)  Thank you to the Pt to Pts for allowing all the ponies to run.  After several years of campaigning Pony Racing at Pony Club, Pony Club centers (riding schools) and having the Buzz mornings before racing at the Pony Club racedays we have had a very good uptake of new riders and ponies this season.  We are going into new Pony Clubs this summer at there camps to promote Pony Racing, so hoping for another good season next year.  WE are also having a Pony Club racing rally at Aintree in October and a PRA/PC training assessment day again at Aintree in February.

We held our area prize giving at Aintree evening meeting on 12th June were over 50 kids and parents enjoyed a very sociable evening, and some good racing.  It was the first time some of the kids and parents had ever been to a ‘proper’ race meeting, infact some of them had never even been to a pt to pt until 12th April 2015!

We have three of our area kids leaving this year to move on up the scale in the racing world.  Abbie McCain  - Pt to Pt     Josh Bryan – apprentice at Andrew Balding’s , and Niall Reynolds goes to BRS in August with a view to be placed in a yard.
