Racesafe RS2000 Shoulder Protectors
Details:
- Shoulder pads, tested to BETA level 3 come with a medical card holder attached and velcro straps to attach.
- Available in all colours at no extra cost.
- The shoulder protectors aim to protect the end of the collar bone.
- Research for BETA by Michael Whitlock, UK Medical Advisor on the European Committee on Body Protectors investigated 50 falls on the shoulder during eventing competitions. It states that among the 30 fallers who were not wearing shoulder protection there were 6 fractures to the collar bone and 2 dislocated shoulders. There were no fractures or dislocations among the 20 who were wearing shoulder pads made to the BETA level 3 standard.
