We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and aim to get an online fit correct for the customer in the first instance but we offer free postage to exchange sizes if need be*.

Shoulder pads, tested to BETA level 3 come with a medical card holder attached and velcro straps to attach.
Available in all colours at no extra cost. If you are ordering them to go with a Racesafe body protector that is in 2 colours we will do one of each colour and confirm this when we call to confirm the order after it has been placed online. The shoulder protectors aim to protect the end of the collar bone.
Research for BETA by Michael Whitlock, UK Medical Advisor on the European Committee on Body Protectors investigated 50 falls on the shoulder during eventing competitions. It states that among the 30 fallers who were not wearing shoulder protection there were 6 fractures to the collar bone and 2 dislocated shoulders. There were no fractures or dislocations among the 20 who were wearing shoulder pads made to the BETA level 3 standard.
SIZES: As a guide, the small size shoulder pads are normally for child body protector sizes medium and large. The size medium are for child body protector size xl, adult small and adult medium. The size large shoulder pads are for adult medium, adult large and adult x-large size body protectors.
